Hotels
In 2023, the hotel industry, renowned for its resilience and ability to recover from challenges, faced another test of its strength. The pandemic and uncertain global landscape have brought about changes that will require the industry to demonstrate its strength and adaptability.
The challenging conditions in the hotel industry resulted in changes across various fields of business, including the organization of conferences, events, and team building activities. Previously, these activities were typically held in hotels, but they were now compelled to shift to the virtual realm. The ever-changing decisions made by the headquarters on a daily and weekly basis made it difficult to schedule the mentioned activities several months ahead. But one thing has become certain – online cannot replace live. Therefore, their big return to hotels was expected in 2023, and it is necessary to re-adjust the business to create space for them.

Changes in people's behavior and the desire for socialization lead to less and less need for large rooms and hotel lobbies. Visitors want to spend as much time as possible surrounded by people, so a space for socializing, such as hotel bars, will be necessary. For visitors to be able to fully enjoy their vacation, an adequate workforce is necessary. A skilled workforce is crucial for the tourism industry's success. Relying only on robots as staff won't replace the personal touch and interaction with hotel guests. Building a solid relationship with employees and connecting the tourism industry with young people is crucial, as they are the future of tourism.
The year 2023 was undoubtedly challenging, but every challenge can become an opportunity - if you are ready to adapt to changes.
