Want to know what's going well on your Facebook page?
Frustrated with poor results and lack of engagement on your posts?
Fortunately, there is Facebook Insights that provides all the data you need to optimize your Facebook page.
Facebook Insights is a tool that provides comprehensive and detailed insight into the behavior and habits of your users. Therefore, this tool will greatly help you in your performance on social networks.
The sections you will find in Facebook Insights are:
You will, of course, research what you need, and we will guide you through the most important.
Here you will find all information about the performance of your site. It consists of three sections:
The Page summary option shows page activity, page views, likes, reach, and engagement.
The 5 most recent posts section provides details of your last 5 posts. It shows the time of publication, type of publication, targeting, reach of people, engagement, and promotion.
At the end, you will find the Pages to watch section, where you can choose the pages you want to follow. From the number of fans, change in likes, number of posts, and engagement, you can learn a lot of useful information. You can find out how you stand in relation to your competition and in which direction your posts should go.
This section is great if you decide to promote your site, products/services, or events. With promotion, you can target people who are not necessarily your fans. When you click on Boost a post, a list of recommended posts with the best number of reactions will open. When you choose to boost a post, you can select the audience to which you want it to be displayed. After choosing the audience, you will be able to define the budget and duration of the promotion. Read our article on exactly how Facebook advertising works.
It tells us how many fans your Facebook page has. You probably know that the number of fans is no longer the most important indicator of the success of your site. You can see if your fans came through paid ads or organically. You'll also find data that tells if someone has decided they no longer want to follow your page.
It refers to the number of people who can see the content you publish on their News Feed. This also affects all other metrics such as likes, comments, interactions, etc.
In this section you can find very important information that can help you with your posts. You can find out what time of day and which days of the week most of your fans are online, and what type of posts work best for them. In our case, it is around 10am and around 9pm in the evening. Content published on Mondays and Fridays works best for us.
Of course, you will see everything best by testing. Post content at different times of the day, different days of the week and patiently wait for the results.
What makes a Facebook page if not people, so pay attention to this tab and carefully consider its information. There are two sections: your fans and the people you reach. By choosing one of the sections, you will get information about the fans of your page, such as their gender, age, country, and language.
However, not all data is 100% accurate. For example, age and gender can be viewed according to user profiles, but country and language are determined by the user's IP address. Language data is based on the language settings used on Facebook. As an example, we give our colleagues whose language settings are set to English, but they speak Croatian. So don't trust 100% all the data and don't follow it blindly.
Once you dive into Facebook Insights, you'll receive a wealth of information to help you better understand your Facebook fans. But best of all, you'll have a lot to measure—likes, interactions, reach, and demographics, for example. With analytics, you can figure out what content your audience likes. You can also see how your page is growing and how well your Facebook strategy is working.
